Benefits of this string jig over others: Precise measurements and repeatability Apply 300# of tension directly to the string being constructed. This is a great benefit to avoid "shooting in the string". Measure the string or cable length at 100# of tension. Direct measurement of string from back of pin to back of pin. This can be done by one person regardless of the string length. This is done by adding the measuring plate (provided) to a tape measure of your choice. Construct floating yokes and pig tail cable assemblies, complete with end loop servings, down to 10" in length. A tensioning and twisting crank is provided. This allows for the twisting of string and cable assemblies under tension from the center out without removal from the jig. Color separators are provided to separate two color assemblies for clean color separation. The jig requires a 1-5/8’ sq. Unistrut rail (NOT SUPPLIED). These rails are available locally at many larger hardware stores or electrical contractor supply houses. An instructional DVD will be shipped with each unit. The DVD is 180 minutes long and details the construction process of making strings and cable assemblies on this jig. This DVD may be purchased separately.

cable assembly to about 10 inches in length to allow loop serving with a standard serving tool. It may also be rotated around for fabrication of shorter strings. It has two width positions. The one shown is for shorter loop servings used on compound strings and the outer position is used for longer loop servings used on recurve strings. All parts are stainless steel.

The tensioner or tensioning unit is able to produce 300# of tensioning force from a compression spring. A built-in scale measures the compression of the spring. The drive screw is 1 / 2 - 1 0 ACME threaded. The housing is an aluminum casting and the steel pieces are stainless steel..

Unistrut clamps on the tensioning unit are secured with a cross bar. This allows for easy repositioning of the tensioning unit.
